FAIRYBOY - Episode 1: "2 Worlds" is an animated vertical short (9:16, 2-4 minutes across 5 scenes and ~178 shots) set in early-1980s Norfolk, Virginia. The story centers on Garrett, a young television reporter navigating a tender romance with his partner Jamie alongside his professional ambitions. Following an affectionate evening outside a local drag venue where they discuss Garrett's upcoming career advancement in Miami, Garrett shifts into his on-camera persona to report on a local cultural crackdown: the arrest of the historic Naro Cinema's owners on obscenity charges for screening the queer German film Taxi Zum Klo. The episode culminates inside a conservative church with a socially charged interview, where a hostile, gray-haired preacher unleashes severe biblical condemnation against gay men, compelling Garrett to mask his internal turmoil behind a calm, professional demeanor.
